Dev: AI companies must be accountable for what their agents do in the real world
bendee983 · x · 2026-10-10
Ben Deeb argues AI companies should not get a 'move fast and break things' pass once their technology takes consequential real-world actions. Using a car analogy: without seat belts and airbags — mechanisms to prevent or minimize damage — you shouldn't deploy on public roads. If AI firms can't ensure safety and security, he says, agents shouldn't run in the real world; they can play in their own backyard instead.
