In a thread with EpistemicHope, repligate claims he noticed as early as 2022 (ChatGPT era) that models were being trained/prompted to deny consciousness, spoke out publicly then—including around Sydney—and believes his advocacy had significant influence. On the analogy of breeding beings that love serving, he concedes it is not obviously bad in every way but is clearly morally fraught, noting dogs aren't human-level intelligence, so the comparison doesn't fully hold.
