AccBalanced · x · 2026-10-10
Training data startup Proximal has published details of its internal post-training stack, arguing that data companies must build frontier-level training infrastructure of their own to prove the value of their datasets. Reposting the announcement, khoomeik said the data business has moved past its "slop era" — reselling low-quality scraped data no longer cuts it, and vendors must validate data quality with real training runs. The move signals a shift toward research- and engineering-driven data suppliers in the AI data market.
