Baseten launches Project Beacon with Goodfire for inline open-model safety
baseten · x · 2026-10-10
Inference platform Baseten and Goodfire AI launched Project Beacon, pairing open-model inference with inline safety monitoring for the first time. By reading model internal activations during generation, teams can define proactive policies that catch unsafe events — like prompt injection or out-of-policy agent actions — before outputs reach users or tools. The effort builds on Baseten's Base Labs safety research and prior partnerships with Hugging Face and NVIDIA's Open Agent Safety Platform.
