Residual model adds per-frame color data to fight desaturation in long video runs
pixlpa · x · 2026-10-10
Developer pixlpa is experimenting with a third "residual" model that generates a small amount of added color data for each frame, aiming to reduce the drift into unsaturated noise during longer video generation runs. Results aren't clearly successful yet, but the approach lends the output a Whistler-like painterly quality.
