Mocking $1B-a-year data companies is wrong: RSI shifts the bottleneck to high-quality data

Sharing @quxiaoyin's take: people mocking data companies making $1B a year as NGMI have it entirely backwards.
- As recursive self-improvement (RSI) becomes accessible, the bottleneck shifts from "a math genius knowing training recipes" to "access to high-quality data."
- AI is the biggest math genius; what's scarce is unique, well-curated data with a strong point of view. Whoever owns it can sell to labs or train a model that beats them.
- Conclusion: data companies will create the most value in this new world.
