Confluent founder Jay Kreps tweeted that while mathematicians currently hate AI, the transition period where you need both a mathematician and AI will pass — 'I doubt the human is needed at all in 3 years,' while scientists for whom math is a painful means to an end are liberated. VC Joseph Jacks publicly disagreed, saying Kreps is 'absolutely wrong' about humans being unnecessary within three years.
