Cloudflare announced on-demand CPU and memory profiling for Workers and Durable Objects, letting developers pinpoint the exact functions leaking memory or burning CPU in production.
- Available via the Dashboard (Workers → Observability → Flamegraph) or CLI, with a single command exporting a pprof profile of a chosen duration and version
- Profiles render as interactive flamegraphs and can be downloaded for offline analysis
- Internal dogfooding at Cloudflare for weeks; the post describes it as removing the "mystery box" for teams building on Workers
It fills the biggest observability gap in the serverless stack, where logs and aggregate metrics previously made bottleneck hunting guesswork.
