Developer ditches WordPress, rebuilds his site to serve a different version to AI agents
metehan777 · x · 2026-10-09
Developer metehan.ai gave up on WordPress and rebuilt his website from scratch for AI agents, with one URL serving two faces:
- Humans see the normal site in a browser; Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok, Hermes, OpenClaw and 30 other agent families get clean Markdown — an API-first homepage with no menus, scripts, or images.
- The homepage acts as a guide for agents, explaining the site's topics and each endpoint with working examples, like /api/ask?q= for questions with sourced answers. Claude even offers to create an artifact for the user within ChatGPT Canvas or Codex.
- He planted hints for Peec AI to see how AI-visibility trackers pick it up.
His premise: stop guessing which agents visit your site and just build for them — a complete first-hand experiment in agent-first web design.
