Synkinema: open-source MCP video editor lets AI agents and humans share one timeline
United_Inspector_653 · reddit · 2026-10-09
Synkinema is an MIT-licensed local video editor whose MCP tools let an AI agent and a human edit the same project timeline. It uses a shared local project store with confirmed revisions and batch validation, channel briefs holding tone and editorial rules, local Supertonic 3 narration without a paid TTS API, cross-project media libraries, and render inspection tools. End-to-end agent-assisted video workflows already work, though caption timing and exports still need review.
