Gigacity: a browser city grown entirely from one seed with pure shaders
Promptmethus · x · 2026-10-09
Gigacity is a fully procedural browser city with no model files: a single seed passes through a chain of hash-based rules, deterministically generating every tower, car and lit window.
- Street grid cut every 170m with varying widths; blocks split into lots, some merged for megatowers
- Towers stack segments that step in/out, crowned tops, heights driven by a smooth map-wide field
- Rooms behind glass are rendered per-pixel with parallax — floors, blinds, furniture all in-shader
- Sky-lane traffic positioned purely by time, so thousands of cars cost almost nothing
Playable in-browser with chase/drone/director cameras, day/night modes and quality presets.
