Veteran dev: AI-coded it, I never read the code, but it's not vibe coding — judgment still matters

Veteran Microsoft dev Dave Plummer defends his AI-assisted workflow against 'vibe coding' accusations: he never read a single line of the AI-written code, yet argues it's not vibe coding because a vibe-coder couldn't do what he did. He carefully defined the spec and rigorous test scenarios while the AI implemented and tested them. But he had to know upfront whether the code could fit in 64K, that Samba3 was a non-starter versus Samba2, and understand SMB signing/hashing/crypto constraints. His take: humans with deep systems knowledge will be needed to drive AI for the foreseeable future.
