Philosopher OKF: open-source LLM skill turns any topic into a structured study page
holyshitthatsucks · reddit · 2026-10-09
A Reddit user open-sourced Philosopher OKF, an LLM skill that converts any topic into a well-structured single-page reading guide for students, engineers and generalists.
How it works
- Built on the Open Knowledge Format: wording controls depth — "quick" yields a short page, a normal question a standard one, "in depth" or "teach me" a long one
- The skill is a small bundle (an eight-step workflow, a domain classifier, a page template, twelve study domains), with files loaded only when needed to keep runs cheap
- A dedicated "Scrutinizer" workflow filters for credible sources, vetting content before generation and citing it in a references section
Usage: install via npx skills add frypan05/philosopher-OKF in Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or opencode; paste the philosopher.md link in chat apps with browsing; or paste the prompt from the page for offline models. Fully open source, with an MCP-and-ACP explainer as sample output.
