Shenzhen OEM smart rings cost $60 to make — white-label hardware has no moat

LinusEkenstam pulls back the curtain on the white-label smart ring business: OEM factories just outside Shenzhen (like eIoT) offer off-the-shelf rings with ECG, sleep, SpO2, temperature and even emotional-stress sensing built in.
His take: fortune-seekers racing into hardware by rebadging off-the-shelf Chinese products have little to no moat — manufacturing runs about $60, and 2x for import, taxes and margins is the max. The ring may be fine, but don't be fooled by arbitrage gold diggers.
