Turning Any Character Into an Animated Pet With Codex and the Pets Plugin
Deus-ex-Machina7 · reddit · 2026-10-09
A developer shares a playful Codex workflow: enable the Pets plugin, attach a character reference image, and a single prompt has Codex generate all sprites and animations to turn the character into an in-game pet.
The prompt (included in the post) instructs Codex to match the reference closely and preview animations before activating. All assets and animations were generated by Codex, showing how readily AI can produce game assets.
