ChatGPT's Android app hides which model you're on; users find a 5.5-then-6.0 switch workaround

A ChatGPT Plus user in the UK found the Android app doesn't show which model a chat uses, and chats started on an older model (e.g. 5.6) stay locked to it with no visible switcher — only think harder and an effort slider. On iOS you can see the model, and selecting 5.5 first then lets you switch to 6.0, which the model itself confirms. The trick works as a workaround on Android too.
