LlamaIndex introduced OCRia-1, a 4-billion-parameter vision-language model for document parsing that claims SOTA on accuracy, cost, and latency.
- Sets a new best of 87.4 on ParseBench among parsing models under 35B parameters, 12.1 points ahead of the next model, covering text, formatting, tables, and charts
- Leads table evaluations on three third-party benchmarks: olmOCR-bench (92.9), PulseBench-Tab (84.1), and fr-bench-pdf2md
- Serving at over 2800 tokens/sec decode today
Technical report and blog are available; the model can be tried on LlamaIndex Cloud.
