DAIR.AI curates 31 papers on recursive self-improvement, from Gödel Machines to today

Elvis Saravia (DAIR.AI) released a curated collection of 31 papers on recursive self-improvement (RSI), tracing the field from Schmidhuber's 2003 Gödel Machines (proof-required self-rewrites) and POET's open-ended environment co-evolution, through self-generated training loops where a filter/judge keeps useful model outputs for retraining, up to a closing survey grading self-improvement on six levels — from in-task fixes to agents that modify their own improvement machinery. His thesis: RSI is very early and will spawn major companies and products.
