When is AI automation worth it? Only for five-minute tasks that keep repeating

The author offers a practical rule: a five-minute task is usually easier to just do without AI. The exception is a recurring five-minute task — that's when it's worth spending time explaining it to an agent and saving the workflow. Repetition is what justifies the setup cost.
