Google AI Overview citations found dropping letters and words inconsistently
lilyraynyc · x · 2026-10-08
SEO expert Lily Ray reports a recurring glitch in Google's AI Overview citations: letters and words are being dropped and replaced with dashes, such as the final T in E-E-A-T. The behavior is inconsistent, with no clear pattern for when or why it occurs; she flags the issue with screenshots and tags Marie Haynes for the SEO community.
