Engineer: Detailed PR descriptions help agents fix catastrophic failures far faster
remilouf · x · 2026-10-08
Developer remilouf shares first-hand experience: when an AI agent causes a catastrophic failure needing human intervention, a context-free "Hail Mary" prompt won't cut it. Instead, thorough PR descriptions with reproducible examples matter enormously — having a human pair with an agent to blast through PR descriptions quickly narrows down candidates and gets things fixed much faster than prompts with no high-level history to rely on.
