hashes.sh lets you publish a SHA-256 hash now and reveal the message later, verifiably
ctjlewis · x · 2026-10-08
Developer ctjlewis launched hashes.sh, a time-locked commitment tool: publish the SHA-256 hash of a message now, keep the title and body redacted, and reveal it at a deadline from 1 minute to 1 year. Anyone can verify the revealed text against the original hash, with independent timestamps via DigiCert and OpenTimestamps anchored in Bitcoin. Supports Markdown and LaTeX.
