Open-source AI agent Cindy launches with multi-harness support for Claude Code, Codex and Pi
vista8 · x · 2026-10-08
XD.INC released Cindy, an open-source AI agent that works out of the box with multiple agent harnesses — currently Claude Code, Codex and Pi — letting you switch harnesses or models mid-task while workspace, memory, skills and tools stay continuous.
Its advanced multi-agent mode splits a task into roles: e.g. Claude Code × Fable 5 plans, workers like Grok 4.5, Kimi K3 and GLM 5.2 execute in parallel, and Codex × GPT-5.6 independently reviews, with Cindy holding context and acceptance criteria.
The team emphasizes design polish, offers a $3 sign-up credit, and is open source on GitHub, welcoming feature requests and PRs.
