ChatGPT Dots' Hidden Custom Rules Make Your Personal Assistant Actually Useful
koltregaskes · x · 2026-10-08
A lesser-known ChatGPT Dots feature: Custom Rules, found on the web under Personalisation → Permissions. You fill in 'When my Dot wants to... my Dot should...' — e.g. have it create and dedupe tasks in your Linear workspace while excluding secrets. Dots can even generate the rules for you with a one-click button. Not yet available on Android.
