Perplexity ships open-weights Decider v1.1: top Decision Index score, half the price
gaganghotra_ · x · 2026-10-08
Perplexity released pplx-decider-v1.1-27b, an open-weights multimodal decision model now on OpenRouter. Instead of generating text, it reads text, JSON, or images and returns typed, probabilistic answers—yes/no probabilities, option distributions, or rubric scores—for up to 128 questions per request. Built for classification, routing, moderation, and grading where code thresholds numbers instead of parsing chat replies. It tops the new Hugging Face Decision Index 0.3 benchmark and costs half of v1 at $0.02/M input tokens with free output and 262K context.
