LLMs writing Blender code may beat a decade of specialized 3D generation models

mattdeitke argues 3D will likely be solved by LLMs rather than a decade of specialized models like GET3D and Magic3D. Language models can now write a few hundred lines of Blender Python to build objects, scenes, camera framing, lighting, and materials — with no texture files at all, relying on code-generated randomness in color and lighting to look realistic.
