OpenAI opens Decisions API beta, making app decisions up to 10x faster than GPT-6 Luna

OpenAI's developer account announced the Decisions API is now in public beta for all developers, letting apps pick the right model, tool, or action in near real-time. Via the Responses API, decisions run up to 10x faster than GPT-6 Luna.
The Podium team, alpha-testing it, says it helps agents choose the right workflow faster and start with the instructions they need — and that not every automated decision should go through a large LLM: the API is faster, cheaper, and better for many tasks.
