Isomorphic Labs joins Virtual Biology Initiative to build AI-ready biological data

Demis Hassabis announced that Isomorphic Labs has joined the Virtual Biology Initiative (VBI), convened by CZI/Biohub, as a founding member.
- Participating organizations are committing funding, data, compute and new measurement technology — described as the largest coordinated effort to date for generating AI-ready biological data.
- The result will be an open resource for the global research community, providing foundational data for AI models that predict and ultimately treat human disease.
- Hassabis called improving medicine and human health the most important application of AI.
