Graphlit shuts down after 5 years: working product, failed business
KirkNewcombe · x · 2026-10-07
Graphlit founder Kirk Marple announced the service has gone offline. Over five years the company built 50+ integrations, a temporal knowledge graph, durable agents, and had paying customers in production since 2023 — the product worked, the business didn't. Commenting on it, Kirk Newcombe argues distribution trumps elegance when customers don't yet understand the problem ("taxonomy" isn't in the zeitgeist). The tech and IP remain available as an asset purchase. Marple notes agents are still only as good as their context — a problem that isn't going away.
