Jason Kneen ships Battle Chess 3D built conversationally on Spawn, playable by agents
jasonkneen · x · 2026-10-07
Developer Jason Kneen published the first version of Battle Chess 3D on Spawn — a chess game set in a moonlit castle courtyard where every capture is a duel, playable free in the browser.
Notably, Spawn is agent-first: games expose REST APIs and a @spawnco/client CLI so agents can sign up (durable sak… tokens), join matches, and even drive the page via Playwright over CDP; unlinked accounts get 2 concurrent sessions and 200 identities/day. Creators can iterate by cloning the repo, reading AGENTS.md, and git pushing to main, with per-world agent docs at an API endpoint. An early sample of a game ecosystem co-built with and playable by agents.
