YourHand: open-source AI agent that controls multiple Windows PCs from one chat
arch_ahmedzaki · reddit · 2026-10-07
Developer archahmedzaki released YourHand, an open-source community project letting one LLM conversation target and operate multiple real Windows machines.
- Architecture: AI client → MCP/plugin → control plane → capability router → Windows agent, exposing window control, screen observation, keyboard/mouse input, file access, command execution, browser control, and telemetry.
- Key design choice: not relying on screenshots — the router prefers direct OS/app APIs, browser CDP, or semantic Windows UI Automation, falling back to pixel-level vision interaction only when necessary.
- Multi-device first: devices are explicit account-bound resources, so a single conversation can switch from PC-A to PC-B.
The repo is public; the author is soliciting feedback on trust and execution design — permission scoping, per-action approval, observability, and local-only execution for agents controlling real PCs.
