HackerRank bets AI can transform interviews by measuring 'AI fluency' and judgment
mikeflache · x · 2026-10-07
HackerRank is betting AI can change not only how interviews are conducted but what employers can measure. Beyond whether candidates reach the right answer, the company wants to capture harder-to-quantify signals like critical thinking and judgment.
Its core new metric is "AI fluency": how well a candidate frames a problem for AI, judges its output, and steers it toward a solution — a redefinition of hiring assessment for the post-AI workplace.
