Agents Turn Model Mistakes Into Real Actions — Safety Becomes Ops Security
alifcoder · x · 2026-10-07
The key shift: an agent sits between the model and real systems, with access to your browser, email, files, internal tools, credentials, and SaaS accounts. A bad decision is no longer contained in a response — the agent can open sites, send emails, click the wrong thing, or keep acting after a first mistake.
OpenAI itself describes agentic systems as higher-risk because they interact with logged-in sites and user data rather than just answering questions. Agent safety is therefore not just a model-quality problem but an operational security problem.
