Writing a precise spec IS half the work — AI helps those who already specify well

Building on Alan Cole's point that specifying work in sufficient detail is itself the work, the author argues that writing requirements clearly enough that others can execute without drift is already half of a product manager's job. The remaining half isn't that hard — so AI assistants end up helping most the people who were already good at articulating what they want.
