Professor calls out LPC: student talks interrupted and dismissed as "waste of time"

A professor publicly criticized the culture at Linux Plumbers Conference's System Boot and Security track: his student's talk was interrupted at slide #4 with a claim that Daniel Borkmann's patch had solved the problem, and another student presenter was called "useless" and "waste of time" in Q&A. He reviewed Borkmann's patch and says it addresses load-time signing, not their lifecycle-management work, arguing the interrupter misunderstood the technical problem. He supports active discussion but says this behavior must stop.
