Ethan Mollick to AI labs: make sure your models actually understand your own products
emollick · x · 2026-10-07
Wharton professor Ethan Mollick urged AI labs to confirm that shipped models truly understand their own products and how to use them, updating that knowledge as new features launch.
He argues labs already have the perfect UX tool in their models: it should suggest useful features back to the team and troubleshoot when users are frustrated. His jab: nothing is weirder than an AI that knows everything about your computer except its own app.
