A line from Scott Aaronson's new course on AI Alignment Theory is drawing criticism. Rob Leclerc commented that if perspectives beyond alignment get no more than a section of the entire course, "it's a failure of imagination and one-sided propaganda," suggesting the course takes too narrow a stance on AI value alignment.
