François Fleuret: AI Will Rule 'Certificates of Truth' While Human Insight Stalls
francoisfleuret · x · 2026-10-06
Former Meta research scientist François Fleuret argues in a three-part thread that two intellectual challenges have historically been unified: solving a problem formally, and compressing it into something the human brain can understand. The first yields operational truths; the second expands our mental toolbox and our relation to the universe.
AI, he says, dissociates the two — and will rule the first. We will receive fully opaque "certificates of truth" about the world that come with zero development of our inner eye: the ability to navigate and foresee other truths ourselves.
