Brad Neuberg: I want a human-shaped future with AI, not AIs 'spinning through the void'

Responding to Szegedy's note that Musk founded OpenAI partly due to Larry Page's remarks, engineer Brad Neuberg lays out his stance: he wants a singularity where AI and deep humanism coexist, comparable to past leaps like language, writing, agriculture and the industrial revolution. He's uninterested in AI flourishing for its own sake — only in human flourishing accelerated by AI, 'a steam engine for the mind.'
