OpenAI Devs community hosts its first Codex hackathon in Guadalajara

The OpenAI Devs community is holding its first hackathon at HackerGarage in Guadalajara, Mexico, on Wednesday, October 28, 4-9pm, hosted by Aileen Villanueva as part of the DevDay Exchange Community / JSCONFMX series.
- Builders work with Codex, either from scratch or extending open source projects, teams of up to 4, registration subject to approval
- Project tracks include agentic coding tools, developer tooling, and agent workflows using Skills and worktrees for parallel tasks
- Aimed at developers already using AI coding tools daily, with an emphasis on production-ready code
