a16z released the seventh edition of its Top 100 Consumer AI Apps report, adding a revenue leaderboard alongside the usual web and mobile traffic rankings.
Three years after the first edition—when ChatGPT was #1, Claude was unranked, and the category was mostly chatbots and image generators—ChatGPT still holds the throne with 1B+ monthly actives. Asked for a standout app, Logan K pointed to Google AI Studio.
