Qualcomm to Pay Huawei for First Time in 5G/AI Patent Deal Covering LogicFolding

Per TrendForce, Qualcomm and Huawei have signed a new cross-licensing deal covering 5G and AI patents, with Qualcomm becoming the net payer to Huawei for the first time. The agreement also covers Huawei's LogicFolding chip technology, which boosts chip performance despite limited EUV lithography access — a notable marker of Huawei's rising leverage in chip patents.
