Plenio turns YuE2 into a DAW: an AI music workstation inside ComfyUI
Vivid_Promise1700 · reddit · 2026-10-05
The latest version of the Plenio Music Production System ships a heavily improved ComfyUI custom node that turns the open-source music model YuE2 into a DAW-like production workflow: instead of describing a song and hoping for the best, you write the musical structure yourself and let AI render it.
Key features:
- Compose: edit melody, chords, lyrics and arrangement in the Score Editor, import MIDI from your DAW, or play in ideas via a MIDI keyboard
- AI covers: load your own recording, let SheetSage2 extract the structure, edit the score and lyrics, then render with YuE2
- DAW workflow: piano roll, chord lane, lyrics, arrangement, MIDI import/export, section editing and a Guide track — all inside ComfyUI
The project is open source on GitHub, with a 7-part tutorial playlist covering the system, YuE2 Song/Cover, MiniMax, mastering and the DAW workflow.
