Dev builds a 'HomeOS' with AI to triage family email and school notices
ow · x · 2026-10-05
Developer @ow shared a personal "HomeOS" he built to run his family more smoothly. It includes:
- Shared family email triage to handle the flood of mail to a family address
- A shared feed of important household info
- A workflow builder, which he mainly uses to auto-summarize the barrage of school emails
He admits he "got a bit carried away." It's a nice example of LLM-powered home automation: not a generic assistant, but custom workflows aimed at real family pain points.
