AI safety's disconnect from systems safety engineering questioned; FMF cites early INPO ties

David Krueger, prompted by David Robinson's resignation note mentioning nuclear safety, observes there's been near-zero effort to bridge AI safety with existing safety and systems engineering communities.
Chris Meserole of the Frontier Model Forum replies that while FMF has no joint workstreams with INPO, the nuclear operator institute was among the first organizations he engaged with after joining FMF — suggesting early bridge-building efforts exist.
