In a follow-up reply, David Manheim clarifies his objection: describing longtermism and adjacent views as an "extended cluster of adjacent ideologies" is fine, but routinely using TESCREAL as an attack—bundling them as if they share a single "techno-utopian" heart—is what he disagrees with. The problem is bundling to attack, not the clustering.
