GeoffreyHuntley: the next programming language should be designed for LLMs, not humans
teropa · x · 2026-10-04
GeoffreyHuntley argues that developers raised on Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD fail to see that the whole compile/restart/deploy loop could be collapsed — it just hasn't been, partly due to VC-industrial-complex inertia.
His core points:
- Stop arguing that Go or existing languages will win; nearly all languages are the same idea in different bikeshed paint.
- What comes next is an old idea applied differently: actors / repairing the image rather than rebuilding it, designed for LLMs as programmers, not humans.
