Dev builds a physical control deck to juggle multiple AI coding agent sessions
Weak_Cherry_4878 · reddit · 2026-10-04
A Reddit developer tired of hunting through terminal tabs while running multiple coding agents built a physical control surface: an LCD shows 3 sessions of the active agent, K1–K3 keys jump directly to them, a top row switches between agents, and the context-sensitive shortcut layout updates dynamically. Tested with Qwen, DSH, ChatGPT, Herdr and OpenCode, the project explores moving agent state, session state and common actions onto a persistent physical interface. He's still weighing fixed shortcut keys vs context-aware keys.
