DAO's team launched Suishijian, a read-only MCP service giving AI agents Chinese calendar context, classical passage retrieval, and rule-based chart construction, with a free pilot and a companion web interface.
- The service exposes eight tools: time context, daily reference, classical search and passage retrieval, Liuyao and Qimen charts, question context, and a daily brief — all returning structured data with method and source identity, leaving interpretation to the agent.
- The post highlights time-convention issues: the same timestamp maps to the Shen hour branch by civil Beijing time but the You branch by apparent solar time (longitude correction +5.89 min, equation of time +8.31 min), and the engine makes that choice explicit.
- A Streamable HTTP endpoint and a reproducible Liuyao chart call are provided, with feedback requested on whether the returned conventions suffice for agents to use results without guessing.
