DeepSeekHarness ships Claude Code Mods compat layer, calls Mods a subset of its plugin system

After Anthropic launched Claude Code Mods — JS/TS event handlers inside Claude Code that can customize UI and behavior, with playful examples like TokenWeather and BlastRadius — DeepSeekHarness lead Cui Tianyi congratulated the team and argued the direction was familiar: DSH's "Everything is a Plugin" architecture treats models, tools, skills, sandboxes, agent loops, and UI all as plugins.
Days later, DSH shipped v0.2.1-alpha.1 with an experimental Claude Code Mods compatibility layer, bridging demos of TokenWeather, BlastRadius, and ReplayTheater into its plugin system, plus a "let the agent create plugins" mode and a developer toolkit. The release notes state the layer exists to verify that Claude Code Mods APIs are roughly a subset of DSH's plugin capabilities; built-in Mods like diff and telemetry remain non-functional, and drop-in reuse isn't ready yet. The topic has trended on Zhihu.
